Wrestling Wins Eighth Dual in a Row

Fresno State took to the road and beat the Mustangs 25-12. Tonights win was the Bulldogs eight dual win in a row which has not been accomplished by a Fresno State wrestling team since the 1994-95 season.
The dual started at the 141 weight class. Junior Casey Olson would win the first match by decision over Andy Kim, 7-3.
Junior Jim Medeiros won at the 157 division by a decision of 6-3 over Nick Hopping.
Senior Ben Baca weighted in at the 174 division taking his match over Joe Brady by a major decision win of 16-8.
Freshman Greg Gifford won the only Fresno State pin. With 1:45 left in the second period Gifford pinned Ryan Halsey.
Marcio Botelho, Clint Walbeck and Ben Martinez all scored decision wins over their opponents.
The Bulldogs next dual and final home match of the season is Sunday, Feb. 16 at noon against No. 12 Arizona State.
