Fresno, Calif. - Fresno State headed to Boise State for the first of three matches on the weekend as the Bulldogs lost 19-16. The Bulldogs will travel to Northern Colorado and Wyoming tomorrow in a travel-heavy three match stretch.
The Bulldogs started off the evening well with a 8-2 decision by Garrett Spooner over Boise State's Jacob Scoles in the 141 pound match. Fresno State would keep their early lead as they would trade major decisions with the Broncos.

The Frenso State heavywieghts would post three straight decisions, as Jatinder Singh beat Jason Cates 6-4 in overtime, Marcio Botelho defeated Casey Phelps 5-3, and Clint Walbeck won an exciting victory 3-2 in 2 overtimes against Justin Moody of Boise State, 3-2. Those wins gave the Fresno State squad a 16-10 lead going into the last two matches.
However, Christian Bowerman would drop a 10-4 decision against the No. 6 125-pounder in the nation, Andres Hochstrasser, and in the final match of the evening, Scott Jorgenson pinned Sal Gonzalez to give Boise State a 19-16 win.
