Bulldogs Post Wins Over Loyola Marymount and UC Davis

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State swept a doubleheader on Saturday at the Wathen Tennis Center. The 56th-ranked Bulldogs opened the day with a 5-2 win over Loyola Marymount and then finished up play by knocking off UC Davis 5-1.
Jakub Cech won twice in singles and once in doubles, improving upon his perfect records in both. Charles Irie and Nicolas Mascheroni also won twice in singles and posted a doubles victory.
The wins improved Fresno State to 4-0 on the year heading into one of the most difficult stretches on the schedule. The Bulldogs play three of their next four matches on the road, all against nationally ranked opponents.
Fresno State returns to action Saturday with a match at No. 7 Stanford at noon.
