Fresno, Calif. - Fresno State finished their Oklahoma road trip Saturday afternoon, and the Bulldogs continued to struggle through injuries. The team was forced to forfeit three weights on the way to the defeat. The team returns to Fresno for a home dual against Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, January 24.
Starting at 125 pounds, the Bulldogs wrestled tough, as Cory Borges fought to a 9-6 decision against top-ranked Sam Hazewinkel, and Sean Carlson fell just short in a 2-0 match against Trey Blakely at 133 pounds. The Bulldogs were forced to forfeit at 157, 165 and 174 pounds, and the match ended with a 50-0 loss.
The Bulldogs return home next week for a dual against Cal State Fullerton. That match will begin at 7 p.m. in the North Gym.
