FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State men's tennis team was defeated for the first time this 2006 dual match season in a loss to the Cal Golden Bears, 7-0. The Bulldogs fell to 5-1 on the year as they failed to win a match and the doubles point for the first time.
Both doubles tandems of Sam Gibbs/Sergiou Modoc and Jordi Ballester/Sam Tadevosian had entered the dual match with perfect records of 5-0. But Cal took control early and never let up.
Fresno State retruns to action on Thursday, Feb. 16, as it hosts UNLV at 4 p.m. at the Wathen Tennis Center
