Bulldogs Finish Regular Season at Modesto Relays

FRESNO, Calif. - Freshman Gary Lee set a new Fresno State freshman record in the long jump at the Modesto Relays Saturday. Lee's new personal best of 25 feet, 6.25 inches (7.78 meters) broke the record he set at the Cal-Nevada Championships earlier this season and earned him a sixth-place finish behind five non-collegiate competitors.
The men's 4x100-meter relay team timed in at 41.84 seconds
Three throwers competed for the women's team. Kayla Xavier threw the shot 45-3.75 (13.81m) for fourth and Lisa Ma'ake took fifth, tossing the shot 41-2.25 (12.55m). Xavier also competed in the discus, marking a 144-4 (44.0m). Grace Wiesmann tossed a 166-3 (50.68m) in the hammer throw to take sixth behind non-collegiate competitors.
Vanessa Sautebin ran a 14.02 in the 100 hurdles as the only track athlete competing for the Bulldogs.
The meet completes Fresno State's regular season. Competition at the WAC Outdoor Championship begins Wednesday in Boise, Idaho.
