Bio
Fresno State: (2009) Became Fresno State[apos]s first triple-qualifier for the NCAA Regional, earning spots in the shot put, discus and hammer ... marked a career-best 50-5.25 (15.37m) in the shot put at the USC Invitational, just the third Bulldog to throw over 50 feet ... threw the hammer 180-9 (55.09m) at the Mt. SAC Relays for a career-best and qualify that event ... set a career-best of 162-2 (43.44m) in the discus at the Brutus Hamilton ... earned points at the WAC Championship in the hammer (third), shot put (fourth) and javelin (eighth) ... named WAC Athlete of the Week on March 23. (2008) One of the Bulldog[apos]s top throwers in her first season at Fresno State ... broke the freshman record for the shot put with a toss of 48-2 (14.68m), but was surpassed by teammate Rosario Sanchez to take the record ... qualified for the NCAA West Regional in the shot ... had the fifth-best shot put in the WAC ... finished seventh at the WAC championships in shot put with a mark of 45-8 and also took eighth at the WAC Championships in the discus, with a throw of 153-7 ... had a mark of 154-5 in the hammer throw at the Stanford Invite.
Prior to Fresno State: Lettered in track and field all four years at Johansen HS ... took fourth in the state for shot put as a senior ... sixth in the state in discus as a senior ... had top marks of 43-10.75 in the shot put and 152-6 in the discus.
Personal: Born Oct. 15, 1989 in Modesto, Calif. ... parents are Benét and Burt Xavier ... has one older sister Amanda Neslen who played softball for California Baptist University ... hobbies include traveling and spending time with friends and family ... favorite athlete is Suzy Powell ... person she admires most is her sister for her accomplishments and being such a great role model.
