Brandstater Streak Snapped
Before tonight's game, senior Quarterback Tom Brandstater had gone five games without a pass interception. The interception in the first quarter was his first after 128 attempts. His previous interception was last season against Utah State (Nov. 3, 2007).
`Dogs reach 75th block kick under Hill
Sophomore Ben Jacobs blocked a kick at the end of the second quarter, upping his career number for blocked kicks to three. Following Jacobs in the third quarter for the second block of the game was freshmen Desia Dunn, who earned his first career block. Both of tonight's blocks upped Fresno State's total block punts and kicks to 75 under Pat Hill.
Wylie To the House
Sophomore wide receiver Devon Wylie scored his first career touchdown in the third quarter, running the ball 47 yards to the Bulldog end zone for `Dogs first touchdown of the game. After that reception for his career, Wylie had accumulated 122 yards on three catches, an average of 40.6 yards per reception.
Attendance reaches top ten in school history

Streak Halted
Fresno State's six-game winning streak was snapped with the loss to Wisconsin. It tied the second-longest win streak under Pat Hill.
Brandstater Ties Robinson
Brandstater's touchdown toss to Wylie was the 30th of his career, tying Danny Robinson for eighth-most in Fresno State history.
Dogs in the House
Among the 42,387 fans at Bulldog Stadium tonight were a handful of former Bulldog greats. Jack Lengyl, the former Fresno State Athletics Director, was at the game. Lengyl, a former AD at Missouri and Navy, was the head football coach at Marshall who resurrected the program after a plane crash tragedy wiped out the coaching staff and players. A recent movie called "We are Marshall" told the story with actor Matthew McConaughey playing Lengyl.
Others in attendance on the Bulldog sideline included: 2007 WAC Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Riley, former All-WAC quarterback Paul Pinegar, former Bulldog and actor Brandon Molale and former receiver Joe Fernandez.
