Sellick and Moncur-Blue Win Personal Titles

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State track and field team began the outdoors season with a pair of Bulldogs picking up individual titles at the California Quad on Saturday in Palo Alto, Calif.
Senior Roxanne Sellick won the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:29.77 and freshman J'Quyra Moncur-Blue took the hammer throw with a toss of 55.80 meters. Moncur-Blue, in particular, beat her own personal best by nearly six meters.
Fresno State sophomore Rebecca Crouse set personal bests in the shot put and discus at the meet.
Freshmen Cameron Parker and Jordan Walker shined for the men in the sprints and as members of the 4x400 relay team.
Parker finished fifth in the 200 with a time of 22.23 and sixth in the 100 with a time of 11.12. Walker took seventh in the 400 with a time of 50.25.
Parker and Walker teamed with David Deal and Michael Barragan to take fourth in the 4x400 with a time of 3:23.27.
Freshman Andrew Mashler also had a pair of strong performances for the `Dogs. Mashler cleared 4.50 meters in the pole vault for fifth place and he jumped 6.03 meters for a sixth place finish in the long jump.
"Andrew jumped really well and is on the verge of making a big break," Fresno State coach Scott Winsor said.
The Bulldogs will next be in action against Cal Poly on March 13 in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
