Jaleesa Ross named Fresno State Athlete of the Week

| Fresno State guard Jaleesa Ross has been named the Fresno State Athlete of the Week. Ross, a senior from Pinole, Calif., scored a game-high 18 points in last week's 65-33 win over San Jose State and in the process passed former Bulldogs forward Yvette Roberts and broke the program's scoring record of 1,778 points Roberts set in 1989. Ross followed her historic performance with a 14-point effort in Saturday's 72-51 win over Nevada and now has 1,802 career points. Other nominees included: 2010-11 Athletes of the Week:
