Dogs Take Streak to Stockton

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State (22-8, 6-0 WAC) will take a seven-game win streak on the road for a non-conference game at Pacific on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
The Bulldogs then return to WAC play in Las Cruces, N.M. for a first-place showdown series against New Mexico State (27-10, 6-0 WAC) on Friday (4 p.m. PT) and Saturday (1/3 p.m. PT). The Saturday doubleheader will be broadcast live on KAIL-53.

Dogs Shine on ESPNU, Sweep No. 20/25 Hawai'i for 6-0 WAC Start
After sweeping Louisiana Tech on the road to open WAC play, Fresno State completed a key sweep of then-No. 20/25 Hawai'i (5-0, 2-1 and 2-0). The Friday night game featured Michelle Moses' first career no-hitter in front of a national television audience on ESPNU. The Dogs finished off the Wahine on Saturday with a pair of two-run home runs for the scoring.
Fresno State Sports Six Top 25 Wins, NCAA RPI of 21 On the season, Fresno State is 22-8 with six wins over Top 25 teams for a 6-4 mark against schools ranked in the two major national polls. The Bulldogs also sport a WAC-leading RPI of 21 in the latest NCAA RPI release. Four WAC schools are currently ranked in the Top 80: Fresno State (21), Hawai'i (49), New Mexico State (50) and Boise State (80).

Bulldogs Record 4-1 Mark Against 2010 WCWS Schools in 2011
In 2011, Fresno State recorded a 4-1 record against three schools that participated in the 2010 Women's College Series. The Dogs beat then-No. 8/10 Missouri 6-3 in the SD Classic I before losing to then-No. 4/4 Washington 10-0 (6) during the Judi Garman Classic. In the final three games, Fresno State swept then-No. 20/25 Hawai'i (5-0, 2-1 and 2-0).

Speedy Gilleland Sprinting in Senior Season
The speed of senior shortstop Haley Gilleland cemented itself in the Bulldog career record books. Gilleland is already Fresno State's all-time career leader for stolen bases (75) after going 16-for-17 through the Dogs' first 30 games of the season. As the leadoff batter, she is batting (.323; 32-for-99) with a team-high in doubles (5), stolen bases (16) and on base percentage (.396). Gilleland also has scored 16 runs, nine RBI and drawn nine walks.
True Triple Threat Moses One of West Region's Top Performers
Junior right-handed pitcher and first baseman Michelle Moses is one of the West Region's best pitchers, hitters and defenders. On Opening Day, she recorded the first cycle in program history. The triple threat continues to improve her game and blasted three home runs in the first three games of the season. In 2011, she is batting .264 with a team-best eight home runs, five doubles, a .604 slugging percentage, 17 runs scored, 22 RBI and 55 total bases.
Moses Earns WAC Pitcher of the Week Honors
Junior Michelle Moses tossed her first career no-hitter and propelled Fresno State to a sweep of then No. 20/25 Hawai'i and 6-0 start to WAC play. In the series, Moses went 2-0 with the no-hitter, a pair of complete game shutouts, 13 strikeouts, a two-inning save of perfect relief and tossed 16.0 innings of scoreless ball to extend Fresno State's win streak to seven.
Newcomers Making Instant Impact
Freshmen Brooke Ortiz and Demi Walker have earned a spot in the Dogs' starting lineup. At the plate, Ortiz is .293 (29-for-99) with 14 runs and Walker is batting .211. Junior newcomer Rebecca Hall delivered a two-out, two-run single on a 1-2 pitch to spark a 4-3 win over then-No. 19 Oklahoma State. Freshman Vonnie Martin also has a single this season.
