| Junior linebacker Karl Mickelsen recorded a career-high 16 tackles to go along with one forced fumble and one pass breakup, which came with a minute remaining in the game, the Bulldogs leading 41-40 and it was on a third-and-six from the Bulldog 49-yard line. His 16 tackles were the most in a game by a Bulldog since Ben Jacobs had 16 tackles in a triple overtime loss at No. 23 Texas A&M in 2007. Mickelsen ranks fourth in the Mountain West with 10.0 tackles per game.
