Karl Mickelsen recorded the 200th tackle of his career on the first play of Hawai`i's second drive of the game.
Justin Johnson caught his second touchdown of his career at 7:44. Both of his touchdowns have come in a regular season finale, as his first TD came at San Jose State in the last game of the 2013 regular season.
Josh Quezada scored his fourth rushing touchdown of the season at 2:35 on a four-yard run. It was his 10th rushing touchdown in his Fresno State career.
Fresno State outgained Hawai`i 164-25 in the first quarter and had nine more first downs than the Rainbow Warriors did.
The Bulldogs scored 21 points in the first 15 minutes, the most since the 2013 regular season finale at San Jose State. The Bulldogs had 27 first-quarter points at SJSU last year, in a game that was also played on Nov. 29. Prior to this game, Fresno State had just 43 total points in the first quarter of its first 11 games this season.
2nd Quarter
Marteze Waller went over 100 yards rushing on his second-to-last carry of the first half. It is seventh 100-yard rushing game this season.
Waller also scored his second rushing touchdown of the game with 47 seconds remaining in the period. This is his third game this season with two rushing touchdowns and the fifth time doing so in his career.
With six catches in the first half, Josh Harper moved ahead of Isaiah Burse for the third most receptions in a career by a Fresno State player.
This is the first time since the Nov. 23, 2013 game against New Mexico that the Bulldogs shut out an opponent in the first half of a game.
3rd Quarter
Tyeler Davison recorded his third sack of the game on Hawai`i's first play of the third quarter. This is his first career multi-sack game and the most sacks in a game by a Bulldog since Chris Carter recorded three sacks on Oct. 16, 2010 against New Mexico State.
Derron Smith intercepted his first pass of the season and 15th of his career at 9:28. That pick moves him up into a tie for fifth place for the most interceptions in a career by a Bulldog. It also puts him back in a tie for the most career interceptions among all active FBS players.
4th Quarter
Hawai`i scored its first points of the game on a touchdown pass at 12:50. It ends Fresno State's streak of consecutive quarters without allowing a point at five, going back to the Nevada victory last week. That is the longest streak of consecutive quarters without allowing a point since the first two games of the 2009 season when the `Dogs shut out UC Davis in the season opener and held Wisconsin scoreless in the first quarter of the next game.
Donavon Lewis recorded a sack at 10:15, his 6.5th of the season and 18th of his career. The 18 career sacks ranks as the 11th most in school history.
Marteze Waller's 24th carry of the game, which came around the 7:20 mark, setting a new career-high for rushing attempts in a game for the junior.
