Softball Winter Clinic Registration Now Open

FRESNO, Calif.- Future Fresno State softball prospects are encouraged to come see what it takes to be a Bulldog during a two-day camp hosted at Margie Wright Diamond starting on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 9 a.m.
Interested participants are welcome to sign up as soon as possible via mail, fax or at check-in on the first day of camp if space is available. The registration form and details can be found on www.fresnosoftball.com. All individuals attending the Winter Camp must be in 7th grade or older and will receive a camp T-shirt following registration.
The purpose of the camp is to provide softball players the opportunity to take their game to the next level and encourage local youth to become a part of the Bulldog softball family.
Camp will kick off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10 and will include detailed instruction on basic fundamentals, as well as throwing, fielding, base running and hitting until 5 p.m., with a one hour allotment for lunch at 12 p.m. Campers will report back to Margie Wright Diamond on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 9 a.m. for the final three hours of advanced skills exposure, including game-like situations.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own glove, bat, helmet, tennis shoes and cleats, though limited equipment will be provided. Lunch will not be provided therefore campers will be required to plan accordingly. In case of an emergency, participants are asked to bring a current photocopy of their health insurance card to both days of camp.
Fresno State softball is quickly approaching their third year as a member of the Mountain West under head coach Trisha Ford and assistant coaches Sara Pickering and Carly Wynn. In 2014, the `Dogs took second place (15-9-0) in conference play and hold an overall record of 61-45-0 (26-16-0 MW) under Ford's helm.
