`Dogs Top Arizona 4-3

FRESNO, Calif.- The Fresno State men's tennis team ran out to a 4-1 lead against visiting Arizona before the dual match with the Wildcats finished with the Bulldogs winning 4-3 at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
The `Dogs (9-6) won the first doubles match with a 6-3 result from Adam Glynn and Euan McIntosh at No. 1, but Arizona (7-10) leveled doubles play with a win at No. 3. The reliable doubles team of Sai Karitk Nakireddi and Nikolas Papic though won 6-4 at No. 2 to give Fresno State the opening point of the dual match.
In singles play, McIntosh opened things up with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Will Kneale to push the `Dogs lead to two. Joshua Zeoli then brought Arizona to the brink as he defeated David Mushayev 6-1, 6-2. Jason Jaruvang responded with a win for the Wildcats on court four with a 7-6, 6-1 defeat of Nikolas Papic.
Glynn finished off the match for the Bulldogs with a 7-5, 6-1 victory at No. 2 over Sumeet Shinde.
The `Dogs return to the courts on March 27 when they travel to Albuquerque, N.M., to face the Lobos. The dual match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m., PT.
