Bulldogs Topped 6-1 at No. 63 Tulane

NEW ORLEANS - The Fresno State men's team had a tough match in its first day in New Orleans as the team was team was defeated 6-1 by No. 63 Tulane at City Park Pepsi Tennis Center.
The Bulldogs started off down 1-0 after dropping two straight in doubles competition. Freshman Joshua Zeoli and sophomore Eric Komati then lost singles matches at No. 4 and No. 5 in straight sets as the Green Wave seized control of the dual match
Sophomore Euan McIntosh put up a fight at No. 1 in the first set against No. 14 Dominik Koepfer, but he lost the set 7-5 before falling 6-3 in the second as Tulane clinched the dual match with the point. The Green Wave then added another point with a three-set win in the third flight before the `Dogs registered a win.
With only two matches remaining Youssef Hassan defeated Ian Van Cott at No. 6. The freshman won the opening set on a tiebreak, before falling 6-2 in the second set. He then grabbed the point with 10-6 match tiebreak to earn his fifth win of the season.
The Bulldogs will be back on the courts in New Orleans tomorrow as they face USC Upstate at 1 p.m., PT.
