• Fresno State and Utah State enter Saturday's contest both searching for its first win in Mountain West action this season as both schools own 0-3 marks in league play.
• Since joining the MW, this is the first trip for the Bulldogs to Logan, Utah. Fresno State's last trip to Maverik Stadium was in 2010 - a game the 'Dogs won 41-24.
• Fresno State leads the all-time series with Utah State 17-11-1, but the Aggies own an 8-4 advantage on its home turf.
• Three members of the Bulldogs' staff make their return to Utah State after coaching there last season - assistant coaches Mark Weber and Dave Ungerer, and analyst Brad Vonnahme.
• Fresno State lost its first game under Tim DeRuyter when the defense allowed less than 20 points in a contest - SDSU 17, FS 3.
• San Diego State was the first team since Rice on Dec. 24, 2014 to hold the Bulldogs without a touchdown.
• Kroening is one of four active FBS kickers with double-digit consecutive makes. He has connected on 11-straight kicks after missing his first attempt of the season at Nebraska.

• The Bulldogs have now lost five straight for the third time since the year 2000 (2006, 2015, 2016). The 'Dogs streak of seven defeats in 2006 matched a school record set in 1929.
• Fresno State has never lost four-straight Mountain West games since entering the league in 2012. The 'Dogs lost three-straight in 2014 and in 2015.
