Pair of wins propels Bulldogs into three-game homestand

The Fresno State women’s soccer team hosts Pacific on Friday at 7 p.m. PT; Admission and Red Lot parking are free
FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's soccer team hopes to keep its winning streak alive as it heads into a three-game homestand beginning this Friday at 7 p.m. PT as the Bulldogs host the Pacific Tigers at the Fresno State Soccer and Lacrosse Field, where fans can enjoy We Heart Soccer Night with trivia and giveaways as we celebrate the sport of soccer.

The 'Dogs (2-3) return home after a pair of road victories against Portland State (4-3) and UC Davis (1-0) last weekend, led by freshman forward Julia Glaser, who was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after scoring two goals, including the game-winner in the 89th minute against UC Davis.

Fresno State meets the Tigers (0-4) for the first time since 2009, when Pacific got the better of the Bulldogs in a 3-1 win in Stockton, Calif. The Tigers lead the all-time series 9-3-2 with Fresno State's last win coming in 2004 (2-1) in Fresno.

Pacific come to Fresno State in the midst of a five-game road trip, looking for its first win of the season. The Tigers have begun their season with losses to Cal Poly (2-0) and New Mexico (5-2) at home and No. 18 Connecticut (1-0) and Boston College (5-1) on the road.

Pacific, who has been outshot 84-30 this season, is led offensively by freshman Sigrid Aas' two goals. Defensively, the Tigers have racked up 41 saves through their first four games. Thirty-eight of those saves have come from senior goalkeeper Lena Perry, which ranks seventh in the country.
