Mattson finishes 14th in pentathlon at UW Invitational

Sophomore competed in the even for the second time in her career.
SEATTLE - Competing in the pentathlon for the second time in her Fresno State career, sophomore Jestena Mattson finished in 14th place on Friday at the UW Invitational at Dempsy Indoor Track. Of her 3,250 points, the Bulldog saw her top scores come in the high jump (1.58m, 5-2.25) and long jump (5.59m, 18-4.25) where she earned 712 and 726 points, respectively.
Last winter, Mattson only competed in the high jump before stepping into multis during the outdoor season when she competed in the heptathlon at the Mountain West Championships.
