HONOLULU – The Fresno State men's tennis team defeated Hawai'I 4-3 Friday afternoon.
The Bulldogs improve to 9-9 on the season and 4-3 on the road.
Bulldogs grab the double point
Fresno State is 10-6 in winning the doubles point this season.
Youssef Hassan and Zdenek Derkas defeated their opponents in the No. 3 doubles position 6-2.
Hawai'i posted a doubles win on court 2 when Euan McIntosh and Patrik Pech were defeated in a tiebreaker 7-6(4).
The Bulldogs clinched the doubles point when Xander Veys and Mantas Bugailiskis defeated their opponents in the No. 2 doubles spot 7-6(4).
Fresno State took a 1-0 lead into singles.

Mantas Bugailiskis was the first off the court, besting his opponent 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 6 position.
The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead when Zdenek Derkas defeated his opponent in the No. 3 spot 6-1, 6-3.
Fresno State clinched the match on court 5, when Youssef Hassan bested his opponent 6-4, 6-3.

The Bulldogs return to action Saturday, March 25 at 1:30 p.m. PT facing No. 40 Washington in a neutral site match.
