‘Dogs complete Cal Poly #ShareSLO Invitational on Saturday

‘Dogs record 12 top-three results on day two at Cal Poly.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Fresno State track and field teams completed the Cal Poly #ShareSLO Invitational on Saturday, posting 12 top-three finishes on day two at the Mustang Track and Field Complex.
Freshman Breanna Covington grabbed a pair of third-place results in the jumps, recording wind-aided marks of 11.62m (38-1.25) in the triple jump and 5.60m (18-4.25) in the long jump. Chastity Fellows also recorded a pair of third-place results in the sprints, clocking in at 12.14 in the 100 meters and 25.15 in the 200 meters.
Nailah Harris-Murillo registered the women's team's top result of the day, finishing second in the 400 meters with a time of 56.56. Savanah Miller also finished second in the high jump with at a height of 1.63m (5-4).
On the men's side, Alex Morris recorded a pair of second-place finishes, clocking wind-aided times of 11.04 in the 100 meters and 22.18 in the 200 meters. Joseph Munoz posted a new personal best in the shot put, finishing third with a mark of 15.48m (50-9.25).
Fresno State will head to the Bay Area next weekend to compete in the San Francisco Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational on March 31 and April 1.
