'Dogs defeat Air Force and Cypress College in double-header

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team finished the day with two wins, defeating Air Force and Cypress College on Sunday.
The Bulldogs improve to 12-10 on the season and 2-0 in Mountain West Conference play.
Fresno State vs. Air Force
The Bulldogs claimed the doubles point for the 11th time this season when they grabbed wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
Fresno State took a 1-0 lead into singles.
The Bulldogs extended their lead to 2-0 when Zdenek Derkas defeated his opponent at the No. 3 singles position 6-3, 6-3.
Mantas Bugailiskis bested his opponent at the No. 5 position 6-2, 6-4 to give Fresno State a 3-0 lead over Air Force.
Xander Veys clinched the match for the Bulldogs at the No. 1 position after he defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-4.

Fresno State grabbed the doubles point after earning wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles.
Zdenek Derkas gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead when he defeated his opponent 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 3 singles position.
Fresno State extended its lead to 3-0 when Mantas Bugailiskis bested his opponent 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5 position.
Henrique Osorio clinched the match for the Bulldogs when he defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 4 spot.
Fresno State and Cypress College played out the remainder of the singles matches.
Xander Veys gave the Bulldogs their fifth point of the match when he beat his opponent 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 1 position.
Fresno State grabbed its sixth point when Euan McIntosh defeated his opponent in a third-set tiebreaker at the No. 2 position 2-6, 6-2 (10).
Bailey Gong stepped into the Bulldog lineup at the No. 6 position and bested his opponent in a third-set tiebreaker 6-3, 4-6(2).
What's next: Fresno State goes on the road for two matches at San Diego State (April 7) and UNLV (April 9).
The Bulldogs return home for a double-header on Friday April 14 against Utah State at 2 p.m. PT and Holy Names University at 6 p.m. PT.
