'Dogs finish homestand with a doubleheader on Sunday

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team will host Sonoma State and Holy Names in a doubleheader on Sunday, Jan. 28. The Bulldogs will face the Seawolves at 10 a.m. PT and the Hawks at 2 p.m. PT in the Wathen G. Spalding Tennis Center.
Admission and parking to all Fresno State men's tennis games are free of charge on the weekends.

QUICK LOOK AT THE 'DOGS
Fresno State is 4-0 this season, 4-0 at home.
The Bulldogs are on a four-game winning streak, this is Fresno State's first 4-0 start to a season since 2010.
Recap of last week – Fresno State had a 2-0 week with wins over Saint Mary's and UC Santa Cruz.
The Bulldogs defeated the Gaels 6-1 on Sunday, Jan. 21. Fresno State won its first doubles point of the season against Saint Mary's. Fresno State recorded its second win of the weekend with a 7-0 win over UC Santa Cruz.
Fresno State shines in singles play – Fresno State has only lost one singles match this season. The Bulldogs went 19-1 in singles play through its first four matches.

Bugailiskis leads the Bulldogs with a 4-0 record in singles, playing primarily at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.

Moser and Erturk have recorded 3-0 records this season. Derkas, Osorio and Soke have 2-0 records. Hassan and Gong have notched 1-0 records in singles play.

Sonoma State will open its 2018 season on Saturday, Jan. 27 at Santa Clara. The Seawolves finished the 2017 season with 3-14 overall record.
The Bulldogs lead the overall series 3-0. The last time the two squads met, Fresno State defeated Sonoma State 7-0 (2016 – Fresno, Calif.).

Holy Names will also open its 2018 season on Saturday, Jan. 27 at Santa Clara. The Hawks finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 5-9.
The Bulldogs own the overall series 2-0. The last time the two teams met, Fresno State defeated Holy Names 6-1 (2017 – Fresno, Calif.).
