"I thought we had control for most of the game. We had terrific opportunities, but we just couldn't get them in the net.," said head coach Brian Zwaschka. "We don't have Maria Gomez, but I think our midfield rose to the occasion and played well today. I couldn't have asked for better energy from the team tonight."
Tori Nicolo, Megan Amick, Sydni Lunt, Alyssa Nishikawa, Ele Avery, Melissa Ellis, Robyn McCarthy Emma Chivers, Danielle Pacheco and Kayla Calmes chalked the start for the Bulldogs, with Nicole Theroux in the goal.
Fresno State took the first shot of the game in the seventh minute, Amick missing high. Wyoming followed with an attack of its own, taking four consecutive shots. The 'Dogs' defense blocked two of the shots and Theroux grabbed two saves to keep the game scoreless.

Avery had a look at the goal in the 64th minute, Fresno State's first shot on goal of the match, but Wyoming's goalie was there for the save. Fresno State would have another offensive burst in the 70th minute with back-to-back shots, the Cowgirls' defense held tough and blocked the shots to keep the 'Dogs off the scoreboard.
