MORAGA, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team competed in the Saint Mary's Invitational over the weekend. Jeremy Moser, Patrik Pech, Henrique Osorio and Bailey Gong made the trip for the Bulldogs.
DOUBLES
A Draw – Moser and Pech fell to El Sallaly and Horoz Garner of Pacific 8-3, in the first round.
A Draw Consolation – Giraud and Huynh of San Francisco defeated Moser and Pech 8-6.
B Draw – Gong and Osorio were bested by Cohen and Pissarenko of Sonoma State 8-4, in the first round.
B Draw Consolation – Gong and Osorio defeated Woodland and Jivraj of San Francisco in a tiebreaker 8-7(5). The duo fell to Gilbert and Albayouk of Sacramento State in the second round 8-6.
Extra Doubles – Moser and Pech finished their weekend with two extra matches. The duo defeated Colpalt and Vinee-Munoz of Holy Names in a tiebreaker 8-7 (4). They also defeared Landa and Swanson of UC Davis 8-6.
SINGLES
A Draw – Osorio defeated Lovedeep Singh of Cal in straight sets 6-0, 6-0. Osorio fell in the second round to Mikus Losbergs of Sacramento State 6-4, 6-1.
Pech defeated Alenane Vincee-Munoz of Holy Names in two sets 7-6 (6), 6-2. He was defeated Jack Barber of Stanford 6-3, 6-3.
Moser bested Dustin Kua of Cal Poly in straight sets 6-3, 6-3. Moser fell in the second to Jesus Barajas of Santa Clara 6-4, 6-3.
B Draw – Gong had a first round bye. In the first round, he defeated Christopher Ma of Pacific in a three-set battle 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Gong fell to Alex Scemanenco of UC Davis in the second round 6-4, 6-3.
Extra Singles – Moser defeated Daniel Landa of UC Davis in a tiebreaker 5-7, 7-5, 1-0(6). Moser fell to Arthue Neauhaus in two sets 6-3, 6-3.
Osorio defeated Dominic Bechard of Cal Poly 6-4, 6-4. He also bested Santiago Hinojosa of Santa Clara 6-2, 7-6 (4).
Pech defeated Darius Jalali of UC Davis 6-3, 7-6(3).
Gong fell to Boria Reckon of Saint Mary's College 6-4, 7-5.
