Fresno State hosts Bulldog Classic Nov. 2-4

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis program will host the Bulldog Classic this weekend, the three-day tournament will start on Friday, Nov. 2 through Sunday, Nov. 4 in the Fresno State Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center.
We are very excited to bring back the Bulldog Classic," said head coach Luke Shields. "It used to be one of the best collegiate tournaments in the country. It's been almost eight years since we've hosted this event. We are fired up to finish our fall season with a tournament at home. We hope build this up and make it an annual tournament. We have 10 solid teams competing and there will be great weather, so we hope to have a great weekend of tennis."
Matches will begin at 12 p.m. PT on Friday, 8:30 a.m. PT on Saturday and 8 a.m. PT on Sunday. Admission to the Bulldog Classic is free of charge.
The tournament will feature players from 10 teams including Fresno State, Cal Poly, San Diego State, Nevada, UC Davis, University of San Francisco, Saint Mary's, Sonoma State University, Sacramento State and Azusa Pacific University.Â

Cem Erturk, Bailey Gong, Jeremy Moser and Patrik Pech will compete for the Bulldogs in the tournament.
Doubles Flight A
Pech and Erturk will team up in the top doubles flight. The duo will face Chethan and Scemanenco of UC Davis on Friday at 12 p.m. PT.
Doubles Flight C
Moser and Gong will face Hawk and Mamirov of Saint Mary's on Friday at 12 p.m. PT.
Singles Flight A
Pech and Erturk will represent the Bulldogs in the top singles flight. Pech will see Matis Bot of Saint Mary's in the first round on Friday at 1 p.m. PT. Erturk is slated to play Daniel Krutik of Saint Mary's on Friday at 2 p.m. PT.
Singles Flight B
Moser is set to play David Abfalter of Saint Mary's in the first round on Friday at 2:30 p.m. PT.
Singles Flight C
Gong will face Shotaro Iida of San Francisco in the first round on Friday at 1 p.m. PT.
