- Fresno State will play in its fourth Mountain West Championship game in the six seasons that the game has existed. The Bulldogs will square off against the Broncos for the third time in that span.
- The Bulldogs won the MW Championship game over Utah State at home in 2013, and fell to Boise State in the title game on the road in 2014 and 2017.
- Despite matching records, the MW Championship game is being held in Boise by virtue of the head-to-head tie-breaker. Boise State defeated Fresno State 24-17 in Boise earlier this season on Nov. 9.
- Saturday's Fresno State-Boise State contest will be the fourth game between the two schools over the last 371 days. The combined score over the last three games is Fresno State 59, Boise State 58. The Bulldogs are 1-2 in those games.
- The 2018 Mountain West Championship game will be between the two teams predicted to play one another in the preseason.
- The MW Championship game will feature two ranked teams for the first time in the six-year history of the game.
- The MWC game pits two of the 14 FBS teams that own double-digit wins in 2018.
- Fresno State earned its 10th win last week, marking back-to-back double-digit win seasons for the 'Dogs. It is the second time in program history that feat was accomplished (1988-89).
- Fresno State is back in both the AP Top 25 (#25) and Amway Coaches (#23) poll at the same time for the first time since falling to Boise State on Nov. 9 when it was ranked No. 16/17.
- The Bulldogs faced seven bowl eligible teams in 2018 and were 5-2 in those games.

The Bulldog ticket office (2650 E. Shaw Ave.) is located on the Northeast corner of the Save Mart Center and the entrance is marked by a red awning labeled "Bulldog Ticket Office." The ticket office is open 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. every business day.
