'Dogs finish Bulldog Classic

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team finished the Bulldog Classic over the weekend. The three-day tournament was highlighted by Jeremy Moser and Bailey Gong winning the Doubles Flight C.
Moser, Gong, Patrik Pech and Cem Erturk competed for the Bulldogs.
DOUBLES
Flight A – Pech and Erturk competed in the top doubles flight. The duo fell to Chethan and Scemanenco of UC Davis 8-3. The 'Dogs moved to the consolation draw, they fell to Gonzalez and Restifo of SDSU.
Flight C – Moser and Gong competed in Flight C for Fresno State. They bested Hawk and Mamirov of Saint Mary's 8-5. The team defeated Woodland and Jivraj in the semifinal round 8-5. They bested Campi and Levitt of Nevada in the championship 8-4.
SINGLES
Flight A –Pech and Erturk competed in the top singles flight for the Bulldogs. Pech defeated Matis Bot of Saint Mary's in the first round in three sets (3-6, 6-3, 6-4). He bested Filip Kesina of Azusa Pacific in a three-set battle 6-3, 4-6, 6-4. Pech fell to Restifo of SDSU in the quarterfinals 6-7(5), 7-5, 6-0.
Eturk defeated Daniel Krutik of Saint Mary's 6-2, 6-1. He bested Daniel Dudockin of Nevada in three sets 3-6, 6-4, 7-5. Erturk fell in the quarterfinals to Jacob Schnaitter of Azusa Pacific.
Flight B – Moser competed in Flight B for Fresno State. Moser bested David Abfalter of Saint Mary's in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. He was defeated Phuc Huynh of San Francisco 6-4, 6-4.
Flight C – Gong competed in Flight C for the Bulldogs. Gong defeated Shotaro Iida of San Francisco in the first round 6-3, 6-2. He bested Akbar Mamirov of Saint Mary's in the quarterfinals 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. Gong fell to Igor Pissarenko of Sonoma State in the semifinals in three-sets 6-3, 3-6, 6-2. Â
