'Dogs set to face No. 16 Oklahoma and Oklahoma Baptist

NORMAN, Okla. – The Fresno State men's tennis team will face No. 16 Oklahoma and Oklahoma Baptist in on Monday, March 26 and Tuesday, March 27. The Bulldogs will take on the Sooners on Monday 1 p.m. PT and the Bison on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. PT.

QUICK LOOK AT THE 'DOGS
Fresno State is 11-8 (1-0 MW) this season, 1-4 on the road. The Bulldogs will take a three-match winning streak into the week's competition.
Cem Erturk and Henrique Osorio lead the Bulldogs in singles play this season. Erturk has a team-best record 13-4, playing primarily at the No. 4 position. Osorio has a 10-1 record, playing primarily at the No. 6 position. In doubles play, Fresno State is 8-10 in winning the doubles point this season. Xander Veys and Cagatay Soke hold a team-best dual doubles record 6-4.
Last week – Fresno State opened up Mountain West play with a 7-0 victory over Air Force on Friday, March 23.
2018 Bulldogs – With the departure of last season's lone senior, Euan McIntosh, the Bulldogs return eight players including Mantas Bugailiskis, Zdenek Derkas, Bailey Gong, Youssef Hassan, Jeremy Moser, Henrique Osorio, Patrik Pechand Xander Veys.

Bugailiskis lead the Bulldogs in 2017 with a team-best 21-6 singles record, 6-1 conference singles record and was named the team's 2017 MVP. Fresno State returns the 2017 Mountain West Freshman of the Year in Zdenek Derkas, who finished the 2017 season with a perfect 3-0 record in conference play. The Bulldogs also return their No. 1 singles player in Veys. He finished the season 16-9 singles record at the No. 1 spot, was selected to the 2017 All-Mountain West Singles Team and the team's 2017 Most Improved Player.

2017 Review-- Fresno State finished the 2017 season with an 18-13 (5-2 MW) record. The Bulldogs made a MW Tournament run as the No. 2 seed before falling in the semifinals to UNLV 4-3.
SCOUTING THE SOONERS
Oklahoma is 13-2 this season, 10-1 at home. The Sooners are currently ranked No. 16 in the nation.
In singles play, Jake Van Emburgh owns a team-best 9-2 record while playing primarily at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions. In doubles, Van Emburgh and Clavo lead the team with a 6-1 record while playing primarily at the No. 1 position.
Last week – Oklahoma posted a 1-0 week, with a 4-0 win over UMKC.
