'Dogs finish regular season with a 4-1 win in Reno

RENO, Nev. – The Fresno State men's tennis team defeated Nevada 4-1 to finish the regular season 6-1 in Mountain West play, Saturday afternoon.
Fresno State finishes the regular season with an overall 17-11 record, and are currently in second place in MW standings.
Doubles – The Bulldogs won the doubles point.
The Wolf Pack went into Saturday's match winning five of six doubles points in conference play.
Cem Erturk and Zdenek Derkas defeated their opponents 6-2 at the No. 1 position. The doubles point was clinched at the No. 2 positions when Xander Veys and Cagatay Soke bested their opponents at the No. 2 position 7-5.
The match at the No. 3 position was left unfinished
Singles – Fresno State extended its lead to 2-0 when Jeremy Moser defeated Peter O'Donovan in straight sets at the No. 6 position (6-4, 6-2).
Nevada made its first dent in the scoreboard when Mantas Bugailiskis fell to his opponent at the No. 2 position (6-4, 6-2).
Veys defeated Hulien Evrard at the No. 1 position to give the Bulldogs a 3-1 lead, a big win for Fresno State. Evrard came into Saturday's match with a 4-1 singles record.
Fresno State clinched the win at the No. 3 position when Derkas took the win at the No. 3 position in straight sets (6-4, 6-2).
