Riding a three-game winning streak, the Diamond 'Dogs resume Mountain West action on the road this weekend at New Mexico with a three-game series against the Lobos.

• The Diamond 'Dogs resume Mountain West action this weekend at New Mexico riding a three-game winning streak and winners of four of its last five games.
• Fresno State is 21-26 all-time against the Lobos having won three of the last four meetings, including two of three earlier this season in Fresno.

A look at the New Mexico Lobos
New Mexico, the 2017 Mountain West regular season champions, enters this weekend's series with a 12-14-1 overall record in 2018 and the Lobos currently sit in fourth place in the Mountain West with a 6-6 mark.
UNM is coming off a series win at nationally-ranked San Diego State last weekend before a 16-6 setback at home to Pac-12 foe Arizona on Monday. The Lobos are hitting .265 from the dish as a team to rank sixth in the MW while New Mexico is fifth in the league averaging 5.7 runs per game.Â
UNM, who is 6-4-1 at home this season, is led at the plate by junior infielder Hayden Schilling with a .358 average while Danny Collier and Jared Mang are also each hitting above .300 on the season.
On the mound, the Lobos have a staff ERA of 5.54 and are holding opponents to a .283 average and 6.5 runs per game. This weekend's starting rotation of Justin Slaten & Cody Dye, both sophomore right-handers, have combined for three wins and 74 strikeouts in 74.0 innings pitched.
Gonzalez named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week
Junior right-handed pitcher Edgar Gonzalez earned his third MW Pitcher of the Week honor on Tuesday tossing a complete game, two-hitter while striking out 11 against Long Beach State on March 31. Â Gonzalez allowed two baserunners in the contest, only one past first base, and retired the final 21 Dirtbag batters he faced in the game.
A look at the 'Dogs and Lobos series in Albuquerque since 2013

Since joining the MW in 2013, the 'Dogs have had a tough time winning in Albuquerque with only two wins and 13 defeats in 15 regular season meetings. Fresno State did win three games in Albuquerque in the 2017 MW Tournament, including a win over the Lobos, before coming up short in the championship game against San Diego State.
Ashford on a 30-game on-base streak
Junior outfielder Zach Ashford has reached base in all 26 games he has played in this season and has reached base in 30 straight games dating back to 2017. He is currently fifth in the Mountain West with a .373 average from the plate and leads the team with 38 hits, two triples, and a .434 on-base percentage.
The Clovis native started the season collecting a hit in the first 17 games he played in before going 0-for-4 in game two of a doubleheader at San Jose State on March 18.
Few road contests
The Diamond 'Dogs have only been on the road for eighth games this season as 20 of the first 28Â games have been at Bob Bennett Stadium.
The Bulldogs will play 10Â of its final 26Â games on the road as the 'Dogs only play nine games outside of California this season. The 'Dogs first weekend of March (UNLV), April (New Mexico) and May (Nevada) are all road games outside of California.
Bulldogs getting hot from the dish
The 'Dogs are heating up from plate as a team over its last six games as they have collected to hit .324 from the plate while scoring 59 runs and smacking out 72 hits including 15 doubles and 11 home runs.
The Bulldogs have hit double-digit runs in four of those contests and scored nine on Wednesday at San Francisco.
RPI rankings
The 'Dogs check in 141st in the RPI rankings while New Mexico is currently ranked No. 121. The 'Dogs have played three top-50 teams in UNLV (28), Nevada (30) and San Diego State (46) while Hawai'i (95) and Air Force (112), who the Bulldogs play later this season, are ranked in the top 120.
Ten-year anniversary of the 2008 National Championship Team
On Sunday, April 15, Fresno State Athletics will honor the 2008 National Championship Wonderdogs prior to the Bulldogs' game vs. San Jose State as we encourage fans to help come out and honor one of Fresno State Athletics greatest team accomplishments in school history.
The first No. 4 regional seed ever to advance to the College World Series, the 'Dogs proved all the doubters wrong and upset a talented field and came back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat the Georgia Bulldogs in the final two games of the championship series for the title.
