Local teachers score big with Bulldog Football

FRESNO, Calif. – Through a partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation, the Fresno State Athletics department will take part in the foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers program to honor local teachers at the Bulldogs' Sept. 29 contest against Toledo.
Leading into the game, the athletics department is encouraging fans to nominate their favorite elementary and secondary school teachers who they believe have made a significant impact on the local community.
Teachers from five different classrooms will win a grand prize of $500 in gift cards to purchase school supplies, a Bulldog prize package and 100 tickets for their students and family members to attend the Sept. 29th home football game in addition to being honored on the field in front of the entire Red Wave crowd at Bulldog Stadium.
Ten runners-up will win $125 in gift cards to purchase school supplies, a Bulldog prize package and 10 tickets to attend the game.
Nominations can be submitted HERE and must be submitted by Sept. 17th.
Winners will be selected randomly by drawing from all submitted nominations. The more nominations a teacher receives, the more chances to win.
Winners will be selected and announced on Fresno State Athletics' Facebook page on Sept. 21st.
The Fresno State football team will thank teachers in our community that make a difference by wearing "Extra Yard" helmet stickers during the Toledo game.
