Four 'Dogs to compete in ITA All-American Championships

FRESNO, Calif. – Four members of the Fresno State men's tennis team will compete in the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championship, hosted by the University of Tulsa. Cem Erturk, Jeremy Moser, Henrique Osorio and Cagatay Soke will make the trip for the Bulldogs. Pre-qualifying matches will take place Sept. 29-30, followed by qualifying matches Oct. 1-2 with the main draw being held Oct. 4-8.
In addition to winning a coveted All-American national title, the winners of the event will also secure a berth to the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships.
Erturk, Moser and Osorio will take the court for the first time this season. Soke competed last weekend in the Battle in the Bay Classic, where he went 3-1 in singles and 1-1 in doubles.
 Pre-Qualifying Draw  (Full Draw)
The first and second rounds will be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, with the third and fourth rounds held on Sunday, Sept. 30. There are 256 players in the pre-qualifying draw, only the final 16 players will advance to the qualifying draw.
Moser is set to take on Carson Haskins of Indiana in the first round at 7:00 a.m. PT. Soke will see Joseph Schrader of NC State at 8 a.m. PT. Osorio is slated to face Tom Thelwall-Jones of Tulsa at 9:00 a.m. PT. Erturk will kick off his weekend against Sebastian Rios of Ole Miss at 10:30 a.m. PT.
Tournament matches will not have a live stream or live stats until the qualifying draw begins on Oct. 1.

Tournament Notes:
- A player from the ACC has won the Saint Francis ITA Men's All-American Singles Championship in each of the past eight years. William Blumberg of North Carolina won the 2017 event.
- This marks the 14th-straight year Tulsa serves as the official tournament host.
- Last season, Fresno State had a player advance as far as the round of 32 in the pre-qualifying draw.
- Cem Erturk finished the 2017-18 season with an overall singles record of 28-9, team-best record in dual play of 20-6. He finished the season with a perfect 5-0 singles record in conference play. Erturk was named the 2018 Mountain West Freshman of the Year.
- Cagatay Soke finished the 2017-18 season with an overall singles record of 25-10, posted a 3-0 singles record in conference play.
- Henrique Osorio finished the 2017-18 season with an overall singles record of 20-10.
- Jeremy Moser finished the 2017-18 season with an overall singles record of 20-18.
