- Saturday's game will be the 10th meeting in the series between Fresno State and Air Force.
- This year's contest will be the Bulldogs' fourth-ever visit to the Academy. Fresno State owns one win at Air Force, a 20-17 win on Oct. 18, 1997 - Tedford was the OC of that team.
- Dropping the last two games to Air Force (2015 & 2016), the Bulldogs' last win over the Falcons was a 48-15 victory in 2012 at Bulldog Stadium. That win clinched the Bulldogs a share of the 2012 Mountain West title.
- With Fresno State opening Mountain West play this week, they represent the last MW team to have yet played a conference game entering week 7.
- Following its second bye over the first six weeks, Fresno State is staring at eight-straight conference games to finish the season as they vie for a spot in the Dec. 7 Mountain West Championship game.
- This contest will feature two head coaches that are coaching at their respective alma maters. The duo are among 18 head coaches in the FBS that are leading their alma maters.
- Jorge Reyna is one of 32 FBS quarterbacks with 140 or more pass attempts and three or less interceptions this season.
- Cesar Silva's average of 2.0 field goals per game ranks tied for fourth in the FBS
- WR Keric Wheatfall picked up his first start as a Bulldog at New Mexico State. There have been 17 players this season to get thier first career starts as Bulldogs in 2019.
- With 11 turnovers through four games, the Bulldogs rank sixth in the FBS in turnovers gained per game with 2.75.
- Fresno State has suffered just six losses in its last 29 games.
- Air Force hasn't lost a home game since Oct. 27, 2018 against Boise State (48-38).
