'Dogs drop tough one to Broncos, 4-3

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The Fresno State men's tennis team had its five-match win streak snapped with a 4-3 loss to Santa Clara on Saturday afternoon.
Fresno State falls to 10-8 (1-0 MW) this season.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
Doubles - The Bulldogs started strong with Angus Bradshaw and Cagatay Soke taking the win at the No. 3 position, 6-1. The Broncos won the matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions to clinch the doubles point and take a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Singles - Cem Erturk put the 'Dogs on the scoreboard with a 7-6 (3), 6-1 victory at the No. 3 position. The Broncos retook the lead at the No. 5 position when Soke fell to his opponent 6-2, 6-2.
Santa Clara took a 3-1 lead when Henrique Osorio was bested at the No. 6 position 6-3, 6-2.
Fresno State fought back with a win at the No. 1 position when Zdenek Derkas defeated his opponent 6-3, 6-3. Mantas Bugailiskis tied the match 3-3, besting his opponent in a close match at the No. 4 position 6-4, 7-5.
The match was clinched at the No. 2 position when Bradshaw fell in a tiebreaker 6-2, 7-6 (7).
