'Dogs claim 2019 Golden State Invite Title

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team clinched the 2019 Golden State Invitational title with a 4-3 win over Nevada, Thursday afternoon.
Fresno State improves to 11-8 (1-0 MW) this season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles – Both teams came out swinging. Nevada quickly took the win at the No. 1 position 6-0. Fresno State responded with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 position. Jeremy Moser and Angus Bradshaw clinched the doubles point for Fresno State in a tiebreaker at the No. 2 position. The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Singles – Patrik Pech made his debut in the Bulldogs' singles lineup. Pech gave the Bulldogs a 2-0 lead with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 6 position. The Wolf Pack earned its first point of the match when Moser fell at the No. 4 position 6-3, 6-3.
Fresno State took a 3-1 lead at the No. 2 position when Bradshaw defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-4. Nevada made it a 3-2 match with a win at the No. 3 position.
The Wolf Pack tied the match 3-3 with a 6-4, 7-6 win at the No. 1 position. Henrique Osorio clinched the match for the Bulldogs at the No. 5 position, defeating his opponent 6-2, 6-3.
