Bulldogs close Bryan Clay Invitational with three top-10’s

AZUSA, Calif. – Fresno State's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Bryan Clay Invitational on Friday evening with three top-10 finishes coming from its field events.

Varvara Klyuchnikova and Ronja Sowalder earned the team's top results as each finished eighth in their events. Klyuchnikova grabbed her spot as she cleared 1.66m/5-5.25 in the high jump. In the shot put, Sowalder tossed a personal best mark of 13.65m/44-9.5.

In the triple jump, Breanna Covington placed ninth as she recorded a personal record at 12.26m/40-2.75.

The Bulldogs totaled eight top-25 finishes on the day.

Fresno State will compete in the Steve Scott Invitational from April 26-27. The meet at UC Irvine is the Bulldogs' final meet before hosting the Mountain West Outdoor Championships from May 8-11.
