The Fresno State men's tennis team will open its fall season with a trip to Columbia, S.C. for the Gamecock Fall Invitational this weekend, hosted by South Carolina at the Carolina Tennis Center. No. 63 Zdenek Derkas and Angus Bradshaw will compete for Fresno State in the invitational.
The Bulldogs will see some of the top teams from around the nation, counting reigning national champion Texas, runner-up Wake Forest and quarterfinalist North Carolina. The tournament is made up of three singles draws and three doubles draws, each with a consolation draw. The event will showcase twenty nationally ranked players.
Singles play will begin on Friday, Sept. 20 at 6 a.m. PT. Derkas will represent the Bulldogs in the Black Draw, while Bradshaw is set to play in the Garnet Draw.
Doubles play will start on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 6 a.m. PT. Derkas and Bradshaw will pair up, the doubles draw will be released on Friday.
