'Dogs compete at Senior Nationals

CORALVILLE, Iowa - Four Bulldogs and one Valley Regional Training Center athlete wrapped up competition at the 2020 Senior Nationals this weekend hosted at the Xtream Arena & GreenState Family Fieldhouse.
Lawrence Saenz and Jacob Wright, competing at 65 kg. & 74 kg., respectively, each won three matches apiece on Saturday before each falling two matches shy of a top-eight finish.
Valley RTC athlete Joey Lavallee, a 2017 All-American at Missouri, won four of his five matches with three technical falls on Saturday to assure himself of a top-eight finish at 74 kg. He closed out his tournament on Sunday with two matches and an eighth-place finish.
Other Bulldogs competing on Saturday were AJ Nevills at 125 kg. and Brandon Betancourt at 57 kg.
