Covington posts top marks for 'Dogs to close UW Invitational

SEATTLE – Fresno State closed out the UW Invitational on Saturday with Breanna Covington scoring the Bulldogs' top finish of the weekend, placing second in the triple jump at Dempsey Indoor. The junior posted a jump of 11.92m.
Covington was also Fresno State's top finisher in the long jump with a mark of 5.33m to place eighth.
Three other Bulldogs also finished in the top 20 in the 60 meters (Queen Okoh, 7.79), shot put (Nienka Du Toit, 13.43m) and 400 meters (Cu-Nisha Mitchell, 58.14).
UP NEXT
Fresno State will take next weekend off before splitting its team up between Seattle, Washington and Albuquerque, New Mexico the following weekend in preparation for the Mountain West Championships (Feb. 27-29). The Don Kirby Invitational will be held Feb. 13-14 while the UW Classic will take place Feb. 14-15.
