Outdoor (Freshman): Ran in six meets during the spring in the 200 meters, 400 meters and 4x400 relay … clocked season bests at Mountain West Championships with a time of 25.65 in the 200m to finish 14th and 57.57 in the 400m to place 15th … recorded top finishes of the year at the Cal Poly Shareslo.com Invitational, placing 4th in the 200m (25.90) and fifth in the 400m (59.50).
Indoor (Freshman): Competed in four meets during the winter, primarily in the 200 and 400 meters … clocked her best times of the season at the Mountain West Championships, running 26.03 in the 200 meters and 59.94 in the 400 meters.
High School: Competed in the 200 and 400 meters and 4x4 relay for Wasco High School … won valley meet in the 400.
Personal: Born in Los Angeles, Calif. … daughter of Yesica Alcala and Jose Vargus … has six siblings … majoring in criminology.
