'Dogs fall to No. 20 Ole Miss; lead No. 44 Auburn 1-0

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Fresno State men's tennis team dropped its first match of the Blue/Gray National Tennis Classic to No. 20 Ole Miss 4-2.
The Bulldogs are currently leading a suspended match against No. 44 Auburn 1-0.
Singles - vs. Ole Miss
The Bulldogs got off to a tough start in singles play with three straight-set losses from Cagatay Soke at the No. 5 spot ( 6-1, 6-1) and Henrique Osorio at the No. 6 spot (6-4, 6-2). The next came at the No. 4 position, where Alexey Aleschev fell 6-4, 7-6.
Fresno State's first win came at the No. 3 spot from Angus Bradshaw, who won 7-5, 2-6, 6-2. Shortly after Zdenek Derkas locked up a win at the No. 1 spot in straight sets over No. 55 Tim Sandkaulen, 7-5, 7-6.
The Rebels clinched the match at the No. 2 spot with Johannes Seeman falling in three sets, 6-2, 7-5, 6-2, to Jan Soren Hain.
Doubles - vs. Auburn
Fresno State claimed the doubles point against the Tigers, with the pairing of Seeman and Soke taking the No. 1 match 7-5, and Bradshaw and Derkas winning at No. 2, 6-3.
Up Next
Fresno State is set to continue its match with singles play against Auburn at 7:30 a.m. PT.
