2020 NCAA Wrestling Championship brackets & seeds released

INDIANAPOLIS -Â The 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championship brackets and seeds were released for the five Fresno State student-athletes competing in Minneapolis on Wednesday evening on the NCAA Selection Show.
Fresno State will take five student-athletes to next week's NCAA Championships with senior heavyweight Josh Hokit leading the way as the 'Dogs highest-seeded wrestler at No. 12. The 2019 All-American at 197 pounds will take on Nebraska senior heavyweight David Jensen, the No. 21 seed in the bracket, in the first round.
Redshirt junior 141-pounder DJ Lloren, who was awarded an At-Large big on Tuesday, will be the No. 25 seed and take on No. 8 seed Joshua Heil of Campbell in the first round. The two met previously this season at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Dec. 15 with Lloren falling by a narrow 6-5 margin. Heil is 29-4 overall on the season and competing in his third NCAA Tournament.Â
Redshirt sophomore 157-pounder Jacob Wright was tabbed the No. 25 seed and will face No. 8 seed Kaleb Young of Iowa. Young was a 2019 All-American at 157 pounds finishing fifth and enters the tournament with a 15-5 overall record.
Redshirt junior 149-pounder Greg Gaxiola claimed the No. 32 seed and will wrestle a pigtail match against No. 33 seed Selwyn Porter of The Citadel. Gaxiola is 20-10 overall on the season while Porter is 22-19.
Finally, redshirt freshman Lawrence Saenz is the No. 33 seed at 133 pounds and will wrestle a pigtail match against No. 32 seed Casey Cobb of Navy. Saenz is 14-12 on the season while Cobb is 17-13.
The 2020 NCAA Wrestling Championships kick off on Thursday, March 19 at 9 a.m. PT with Session I on ESPNU.
