Opening Statement…
"We had a really good outcome tonight. I thought we had great energy again I would say our energy all week has been really good and it has been fun to work with our whole squad, clearly you saw that tonight. They got their chemistry back and we have been working hard together. Forty-one rebounds, 21 assists, you can't beat a team that does that. I thought we had to shoot more than them and thought we had to get to 80 points tonight to beat them just from their scores in the past. We shot really well from the 3-point line, great play from Kendyll, Bree and it seems like everybody got their 3-point shot in, obviously Hanna with 19 points and eight assists, almost a double-double, that is great to see. We had a lot of energy, Bree Delaney coming in and hitting those 3's and the one right at the end of the third quarter you would have thought we won the national championship. That was fun, a fun game, proud of our team."
On mindset coming into the game…
"Everyone was excited to play. Obviously, our game last year wasn't ideal and we have been talking about Boise and they have different players and they are young. They are going to take some bumps although they haven't so it felt like the same Boise because they had won and only lost the one game. I think we prepared the right way and we were prepared for everything they had. I thought we did a really good job on personnel. They have good players and thought our players really stepped up and were able to defend."
Sophomore guard Hanna Cavinder
On the win…
"I think both sides were very competitive with each other. I love the game, I love when it's competitive, I don't take any of it personal. They have some really good players over there and I know this game was a big win, but I know Saturday we have to be dialed in."
On gaining confidence with the victory…
"This win everyone took a little bit personally. I think long-term we need to keep the momentum going. We came into the game taking it one game at a time. We have to get the first game. We have struggled with that, the back-to-back games so this game was good to show that and focusing on that going forward."
Senior guard Bree Delaney
On the win…
"Boise State is a really good team and we meet them in clutch games. It was really good to come out, be ready from the get-go and continue to play throughout the whole game with good energy and effort that we know we can do."
On hitting four three-pointers tonight…
"Credit to my teammates for finding me and getting me open shots. Always good to get in a game and prove what you can do considering last year was very different for me. Really happy with how I did and look forward to Saturday."
