The Breakdown

The 'Dogs sit in fourth place at the SMU Invite with 363 points.
Action gets underway on Saturday with preliminaries set for 8 a.m. PT and finals at 4 p.m. PT.

DALLAS - The Fresno State swimming and diving team got five top-five performances on Friday on day two of the SMU Invite hosted at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was junior Athena Clayson coming in second in the 100 Back clocking a time of 53.82 falling by 0.25 seconds to Drury's Laura Pareja.

The 800 Free relay team of Clayson, Wiktoria Dabrowska, Samarah Melia and Darina Khisiamova also came in second with a time of 7:27.91 behind host SMU.

Three other events saw the 'Dogs come in fourth with Khisiamova posting a mark of 4:19.81 in the 400 IM, diver Yuliya Tykha in 3-Meter Diving (297.35) and the 200 Medley relay team of Clayson, Keren Wasserman, Sara Lucchini and Dabrowska (1:42.88).

The SMU Invite wraps up on Saturday with preliminaries starting at 8 a.m. PT and finals set for 4 p.m. PT. Events will include the 1650 Free, 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, Platform Diving & 400 Free Relay (finals only).
