A look at the Pacific Tigers
Pacific is 7-10 on the season coming off defeating the Bulldogs last Wednesday, 3-2 before being swept at home by Portland to start WCC play.
Pacific is hitting .260 as a team to rank fifth in the WCC and is seventh averaging 4.9 runs per game. Junior infielder James Arakawa ranks second in the conference from the plate hitting .411 and averages 1.44 hits per game with 23 hits in 16 games. Senior infielder Wyatt Hoffman leads the team with five stolen bases as the Tigers have 15 as a team.
The Tigers hold a 5.38 ERA as a staff, seventh in the WCC, while holding opponents to a .275 average from the plate. Sophomore left-hander Grant Stevens will make his first start of the season on Wednesday and comes in to the game with a 2-0 mark and a 4.30 ERA in 14.2 innings and has struck out 13 in eight relief appearances.
