FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State men's tennis team swept UC Riverside in a doubleheader Thursday afternoon at Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. The Bulldogs won both matches 7-0 against the Highlanders.Â
The teams competed in an unconventional format, with only two doubles matches counting for two match points, and each of the five singles matches counting as a match point.Â
"It's great to get a doubleheader and this amount of matches," Fresno State head coach Luke Shields said. "I was proud of our discipline, we had a few errors but we stepped up and fixed it in the second match and I'm proud of the guys for that."Â
