A look at the USC Trojans
USC sits 15-11 overall on the season with a 5-4 mark in Pac-12 play. The Trojans are coming off a three-game sweep over Dixie State over the weekend and are 10-7 at home this season.
This will be the Trojans' third midweek game of the season with a 6-5 loss at home against San Diego (March 23) and a 4-3 win at Loyola Marymount (March 30).
Southern Cal is hitting .255 as a team to rank eighth in the Pac-12 in batting average and are fourth in the conference in home runs (27), eighth in slugging percentage (.398) and ninth in on-base percentage (.341).
Redshirt junior infielder Ben Ramirez has started all 26 games and leads the team in batting average (.312), runs (17), hits (29), total bases (54), slugging percentage (.581) and on-base percentage (.407). Fresno native Jamal O'Guinn leads the Trojans in home runs (7), RBI (29) and walks (19).
On the mound, the Trojans have a 3.87 team ERA to rank sixth in the Pac-12 and have a 2.23 strikeout-to-walk ratio with 196 strikeouts to 88 walks.
Junior left-hander Brian Gursky will make his third start of the season and has a 1-0 record with a 2.45 ERA and has 14 strikeouts in 18.1 innings and is holding opponents to a .221 average.
Batesole reaches career milestone at Fresno State
With two wins over the weekend, head coach Mike Batesole won his 600th and 601st games at Fresno State to move into a tie with Pete Beiden for second all-time in wins at Fresno State.

Dixon named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week
Sophomore left-hander Jake Dixon earned Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honors on Monday. He tossed a career-high 8.0 innings on Saturday in a 7-1 win over Air Force limiting the Falcons to three hits, all singles, did not allow any runs and struck out a career-best seven.
Kachel standing out
Sophomore infielder Andrew Kachel leads the MW in home runs with six and ranks sixth in the conference in slugging percentage (.591). Kachel has started all 24 games this season hitting .307 from the plate, leads the team in at-bats (88), runs (20), hits (27), home runs (6) and total bases (52).
Double trouble
Fresno State ranks second in the nation in double plays per game (1.17) and are 6th in the country with 28 double plays.
Long balls
The 'Dogs have 15 home runs over the last seven games and 27 as a team on the season to lead the Mountain West and ranks second and 55th nationally in home runs per game (1.12).
Walk it out
The Bulldogs lead the Mountain West with 113 walks drawn averaging 4.7 per game.
