A look at the New Mexico Lobos
New Mexico is 9-17 overall on the season with a 6-9 mark in the Mountain West sitting in sixth place in the conference.
The Lobos are coming off a 10-4 loss at No. 11 Texas Tech on Wednesday and went 1-2 last weekend at Washington after seeing back-to-back weekend series canceled due to COVID-19.
The Lobos are hitting .281 from the plate to rank fourth in the MW and average 4.5 runs per game to sit sixth in the league.
UNM is led at the plate by sophomore infielder Mack Chambers with a .373 average and leads the team in at-bats (110), runs (18), hits (41) and total bases (61).Â
On the mound, the Lobos have a 5.58 ERA, fourth in the MW, and have a 2.23 strikeout-to-walk ratio with 223 strikeouts to 100 walks.
Senior right-hander Justin Armbruester has made eight starts with a 3-1 record and a 3.31 ERA in 49.0 innings and leads the MW with 62 strikeouts and is holding batters to a .201 average from the plate.

Hill & Dixon a nice 1-2 punch
Jamison Hill & Jake Dixon have combined to go 9-3 on the season. Hill has four wins in eight starts tossing 48.1 innings, has struck out 29 & walked only 10. He is coming off a seven-inning complete game win over San Jose State and is third in the MW in wins.
Dixon leads the team in wins (5), innings pitched (48.2), games started (10) and strikeouts (36) sitting first in the MW in wins, games started and fifth in innings pitched.
Double trouble
Fresno State ranks second in the nation in double plays per game (1.06) and are 10th in the country with 34 double plays.
Long balls
The 'Dogs lead the Mountain West in home runs (33) and are second in the MW in home runs per game (1.03) while ranking in the top 85 nationally.
