FRESNO, Calif. – With a month to go before the opening of the 2021 soccer season, Fresno State has unveiled its schedule for the fall. Coming off a third-place finish in the Mountain West during the conference-only spring season (6-3-1), the Bulldogs open the year in the Pacific Northwest against Oregon (Aug. 19) and Oregon State (Aug. 22).
Prior to the beginning of the regular season, the 'Dogs will play a pair of exhibition matches. Three days after a trip to Cal Poly, the Bulldogs will host defending national champion Santa Clara on Aug. 14 as a part of Fresno State Athletics' Centennial Celebration which begins at 5 p.m. PT. Kickoff at the Fresno State Soccer Stadium is set for 7 p.m. with free admission to the game.
The Bulldogs welcome back all three of their All-Mountain West First Team selections from the spring in seniors Robyn McCarthy (fifth-year) and Lorena Montanes, and sophomore Kassandra Ceja. The trio were a big part of the Bulldogs' success on its home field during the spring, accounting for five goals, three game-winners and three assists as they helped the team go 5-0 at the Fresno State Soccer Stadium. It was only the second time in program history that Bulldogs went unblemished at home.
HOME SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE
Following four straight games on the road to start the regular season, the Bulldogs will host Saint Mary's in their home opener on the Sept. 5. Home matches against UCSB and Sacramento State fill out the remainder of the non-conference slate.

The 'Dogs will face the Aztecs and Lobos, the two teams which featured in the conference's championship game during the spring, during same weekend in mid-October (Oct. 14, Oct. 17).
